The countdown of our favorite 2017 weddings and events continues with a beautiful, rainy wedding at the Four Seasons in Atlanta. The wedding took place high above the city, with gentle rain streaming down the glass windows and the city as the backdrop. So gorgeous!
Congrats to Elizabeth and Michael!! Elizabeth walked down the aisle to Schumann's "Traumerei," which is one of my favorite classical pieces!
Even the lobby of the Four Seasons is gorgeous!
In June, we got to play an event for the International Rotary Club. the event was held at the Georgia Aquarium, so we had a blast playing next to the fish and whales!
We played the cocktail hour in the lobby, and the remainder of the event in the ballroom where the giant, awesome fish tanks are. It was so cool to play right next to the whales and rays!
For this event, we played a lot of jazzy standards, with some classical tunes thrown in.
Later in June, we got to play a wedding at the Fabulous Fox Theater in Atlanta! The wedding was held in the Egyptian Ballroom, with the cocktail hour taking place on the outdoor patio.
How beautiful is that ceiling!
Marcella and William's wedding was very sweet and incorporated a lot of elements of their faith. We played a lot of beautiful classical pieces for this wedding. which seemed very appropriate in this setting. A sweet wedding in an elegant setting makes for an all around lovely day!
We loved this outdoor patio space at the Fox!
In July, we got to play at one of our favorite venues, The Conservatory at Waterstone in downtown Acworth.
Whenever we play at the Conservatory at Waterstone, we sit on the balcony overlooking the ceremony. It's neat to have a bird's-eye view of the ceremony!
Tiffany and Branden's wedding was absolutely precious. It's obvious that they love each other like crazy. Their wedding was a testament not only to their love for each other, but of their faith in God. Their set list was awesome--for the prelude, we played a lot of super romantic, jazzy love songs like Gershwin's "Summertime" and Etta James' "At Last." Tiffany walked down the aisle to "Make You Feel My Love," and the couple left to Coldplay's "Viva la Vida." You can find a video of their recessional on our instagram account!
I'll end this post with one of the many outtake photos that fill my camera roll. We have way too much fun playing together! ;)
Hey friends, Amber here! August is almost here, which means that fall wedding season is right around tbe corner! With summer coming to a close, we thought we'd take a look back at some of our favorite summer weddings and events.
When the weather first started to get warm, we played a beautiful wedding high atop the Grand Hyatt in Buckhead. The sky was beautiful that day!!
Love having both skyscrapers and trees as the backdrop for a wedding. So pretty!
Melanie and Ben's wedding took place at Callanwolde Fine Arts Center, which is such a beautiful venue. They have both indoor and outdoor facilities, but this wedding took place outside under the trees. We were so lucky because it poured rain until the very minute that the prelude was supposed to start, and then it quit raining!
The cocktail hour took place next to the fine arts building.
We got to play a STUNNING wedding at Ventana's high above Atlanta. The weather was gorgeous and it was a breathtaking day!
How stunning is this bridal entrance!!
High above Atlanta! I have no fear of heights, so I love rooftop weddings.
The view just doesn't get much better than that! Natasha and Jerome's wedding was so sweet and stunning. They released balloons into the sky and had lots of modern, romantic music at their ceremony.
In June, we got to play a wedding at Venue 92 in Woodstock. We had never been there before, and it was such a cool venue! They have really neat indoor and outdoor spaces.
Holly and Anthony were such a cool couple, and they had really unique tastes in music. We ended up learning quite a few new songs for their wedding, including "Your Hand in Mine" by Explosions in the Sky. It was so fun!
The cocktail hour took place on the covered patio. What a neat space!
Cant wait to see what the rest of this summer has in store!
